Lauren David Peden is an accomplished copywriter, brand content specialist, editorial storyteller and creative collaborator with extensive global brand development, audience engagement and project management expertise across multiple platforms at premier organizations, including Tiffany & Co., Vogue magazine and direct-to-consumer startup M.Gemi.
She has orchestrated multidisciplinary, global and freelance teams across industry sectors, including fashion, retail, media and publishing, and successfully collaborates with editors, authors, agencies, artists, designers, celebrities and highly creative professionals as well as analytical, commercially driven executive management.
As a sought-after brand marketing consultant, Lauren has worked with a diverse array of clients including Shopify, Esquire, Chandelier Creative, Moda Operandi, Olay, Grand Marnier, Canon and Zappos.
On the editorial front, Lauren has written articles on fashion, design, entertainment, health and fitness, travel and popular culture for print and digital publications such as The New York Times, Elle.com, Editorialist, Glamour, Surface, SHOWstudio, Allure, GQ, Travel + Leisure and Time Out New York.
Most recently, Lauren served as VP of Editorial Copy at luxury footwear startup M.Gemi and oversaw brand messaging and content creation across all digital, print and retail platforms. She was instrumental in growing M.Gemi’s customer base and social footprint by evolving the brand story and visuals with the Creative Director, President and Chief Brand Officer.
Prior to M.Gemi, Lauren was Global Copy Director at the $4 billion American luxury jewelry and specialty retailer Tiffany & Co., where she developed and maintained a consistent brand voice across all print, digital, retail and public relations channels for both consumer and corporate communications. While there, Lauren launched This is Tiffany, the twice-yearly magazine that drives sales by exploring the brand’s rich heritage through an editorial lens and is now considered a collectible among the brand’s fans. She worked on content with renowned contributors such as Penny Martin, Derek Blasberg, Joan Juliet Buck, Glenn O’Brien, Raymond Meier, Zoe Ghertner and Richard Prince, among others, and collaborated with the in-house creative director and contributing art director Veronica Ditting (of The Gentlewoman) on the magazine’s look and feel. Lauren also edited the annual 200-page Tiffany Sustainability Report, working closely with the Chief Sustainability Officer, CEO and Senior Management.
As Copy Director of American Vogue, Lauren wrote copy for all Vogue marketing initiatives and for advertising partners including Valentino, Dior and Cover Girl. She concurrently worked as the New York Correspondent for Vogue.co.uk (British Vogue’s website), covering New York Fashion Week shows and industry events and launches, and also founded the well-regarded fashion news blog, The Fashion Informer, which acquired more than 20K followers over its nine-year run and was featured on Style.com, The Cut, Jezebel and The Daily. This pioneering blog was lauded for its reporting and original content, including exclusive interviews with many of the world’s best-known emerging and established designers.
